Each time he learns something new and falls in love with our animals that God blessed us with. However, he would say his fave thing is the train.

How they talk about it for weeks after a visit, and plan the next visit in the car on the way home. How I feel so bonded and close to them after we’ve spent the day on the tram trying to see everything in just one day. The zoo is a place of solace, when things are going wrong. It’s a step into a new world, away from the real world for just a day. My daughter loves the zoo so much she wants to be a zookeeper when she grows up. She says, “Then they will pay ME to come and be with the animals!”

The walkways are wide enough for our family member with physical restrictions to feel safe and enjoy his time at the zoo. We like to read the information and spend time observing the animals. I have read books about Bonobos and am really interested in their social dynamics, and Cincinnati Zoo is the first (and only) place so far I have seen them in person.

Thank you so much for making Cincinnati have such a beautiful zoo, ohh the the dragon is totally freaking awesome..

I love to hear the questions and comments they have about the animals. They love when we run into a keeper holding an animal that they can see up close and touch and learn something about. His career role model is Thayne Maynard. The education classes and hands-on interactive opportunities are fantastic. Since her passing, I always try to make it to the zoo on the day that she passed away to help stay connected with her.
I am now making new family memories with my husband and step daughter that my Mom never had the chance to meet but she is with us when we visit the zoo.

Manetees, bears, monkeys and bugs… the petting zoo…just wish we could hug! Peacocks strutting their stuff, enjoying one day is never enough. No matter the time, no matter the season, we love our zoo, with very good reason.

I love pretty much any animal, but I think my favorites there are the peacocks. They get to walk and nest freely, and they’re so majestic and beautiful. Their colors just can’t be matched.
I think my favorite things at the zoo (aside from the animals) are the education programs available for people. I’ve had my son in spring break camp and in the classes for little ones, and I’ve found them valuable every time. The zoo does a great job with their Education Center.

I love knowing she is totally enthralled and learning every minute. I love seeing the holiday lights reflected in her eyes. I love that so many wonderful family memories have taken place at the zoo. I love that she will look back on her childhood and see that the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens was the backdrop for it in so many ways. What a blessing to have this in our backyard!

My girls love the manatee house and could spend most of the day watching the manatee’s swim and eat. Our children love that some animals roam freely throughout the zoo. This gives them an up close and personal experience with wildlife that they would not normally be able to experience. We also can’t leave without visiting the elephants (my daughters favorite) and we have to ride the train and the tram (my sons favorite things to do). Can’t wait for hallzooween this year.

The peacock came up to check things out and eat crumbs. He introduced us to his wife and two children. We took their pictures, and he left us a feather.

Each time we find something discover something new. She particularly is in awe at the Aviary. She really loves birds these days. And the Cincinnati zoo has so many. We will continue to choose Cincinnati over the Louisville zoo. Not as much construction, more exhibits and overall much nicer enviroment. I’ve been coming to CZ since I was a child so not it’s even more fun to share it with my 4 and 18 month old.

Now it’s the youngest grandson who delights in the animals, and must have the animal books read to him over and over. The zoo is a marvelous place. The animal ambassadors are amazing. The light of life comes in so many shapes and sizes – it’s wonderful.

Now she is 15 years old and my son is 13. It is fun to see them still get excited after all these years about seeing all the animals and seeing all the wonderful things at the zoo. I took my son when he was younger and he loved see all the animals but loved the Giraffe’s. He loved there long necks, and there spots and watching there long tonges eating leaves off the trees. Since then I have had two more kids and would love to take them and share the most amazing experience as we did before.
