It was a sad day at the zoo last Wednesday with the loss of Wild Boy, Tommy T’s father, to old age. You probably have never seen or met Wild Boy since he lived off zoo grounds at the Mast Fast, but he was a very significant cheetah, to us and to his species.
Wild Boy was gifted to the United States by the President of Namibia and he has indeed been a gift. In his 11 years of life Wild Boy sired an amazing 23 cubs!
He was a handsome and confident male whose beauty, grace and strength lives on in his many offspring, including Tommy T. Thank you Wild Boy, your contribution will not be forgotten.
