Below are just a few of the dynamic bird species seen around the country.
There are no actual birds in this photo but it is a great example of a social weaver nest. Social weaver birds build these great nest like structures that the whole family (generations at a time!) can use. To learn more about social weavers click here.
We saw MANY of these birds, the chanting goshawk.
The heaviest flighted bird on earth, the kori bustard.
One of the coolest birds in Africa, the secretary bird.
And you can not forget the best known African bird, the ostrich. This female is a known resident at Cheetah Conservation Fund and she posed for us with the Waterburg Plateau behind her.
